potter rocks!
Dark and difficult times lie ahead.
Soon you will have to choose between what is right.. and what is easy.
But remember- you have friends here.
You are not alone.
Yay! I watched Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire today. I haven't watched a big fancy 'epic' ala LOTR kinda show in a long time. Today i happily switched my brains off and let myself believe, just for two&ahalfhours, that magic is possible.. ahh.
You know why only some kind of people appreciate fantasy(as a genre)? Cos it requires you to shut off the voice of reason or at least suspend it in order to return to the simpler, but no less complicated (go figure) world of your inner child. Even science fiction tends to rationalize the irrational; fantasy goes into the realm of imagination, where anything is possible. Impractical maybe, but still, possible. Like the person who said, "Electricity, for example, in its most advanced state, is indistinguishable from magic." Mm.. i like.. lols.
But when manager J. said, "You're having a bad day today, kid!".. it's still annoying how people don't look beyond the physical to judge your mental age. Then again, i guess to anyone above fifty, pple less than half their age are kids. Well. At least i get to use it to my advantage sometimes. pulling the innocent little girl act to get my own means.. who, me? No la.. I so guai.. lols.
Eh, mati la. I have to start speaking more malay! and reading malay papers..! tt's if this thing that i went to try out for, works out la. out of an unhealthy sense of superstitiousness i shall not mention anything until something positive comes out of it. sigh.
but then again.. seeing as i need to communicate v often in malay/bahasa indonesia these days.. i should start doing this anyway la.. cos surely its easier for me to learn to speak better in what's supposed to be my mother tongue, than it is for somebody to pick up a totally new language? but but..bahasa has loads of english-based words what..and if somebody can learn perfect japanese in four years..surely english can rite.. sigh.
eh. i was supposed to review potter le. ya, so i watched it and it was nice. ya. i took an hour to finish my burger cos i kept hanging on to it to watch the more spectacular scenes, open mouthed. and i held back for almost three hours from using the washroom *im very euphemistic about saying toilet* cos i didn't want to miss any part of the action. it was good la. good effects, good story, good act-well not goood acting, just good lookin actors. what a shame. haha. i wish the ending wasn't so neither here nor there though. my friends said it was a let down. Strict harry-movie-goers that they are, not readers, they're trying to make sense of the epic seven-year-parter-gala-fantasy-story just by taking the plot as each movie comes. Takes a braver man than me i'm sure. Full of holes they are, the movies. The books i feel are a necessary backup, though they should be seperately appreciated.
geez. when i look up i think this entry would best work as two, even three seperate entries. but since my brain doesn't operate in a logical or remotely predictable manner, then so be it. i never asked u to read anyway, if u have so much time to do that then don't complain.
oh god. my writing is getting suckier. this is so sucky. i shall go to bed now. may my dreams be full of flying, preferably to thailand(two more days!! hurry, time!!)
adiós kawan kawan.
