ogy
almost a month since i last wrote. well now i can't sleep though i desperately need to. so i'm going to blah myself to sleep. writing is soporific.
Last Monday, i brought home this fella from SPCA.

It's a cat!

No.. It's a goat!

No! It's.. A tricolour cross lop ear.. bunny! yay..
Meet Ogy Fuzzlyn.
I named her Ogy after a cat who I once befriended downstairs. I would play with her everytime i came back from school before i went home. I even got scratched by her boyfriend, a mean black tom who got jealous of me touching his girl. Anyway, Ogy the cat stayed around the longest out of all my neighbourhood cats, at least four years, and she had the sweetest temper. She even had this brown heart shape on her back. And since my new bunny is a right match to my old cat in gentleness and colouring(minus the heartshape), I figured she should have the name, too.
and Fuzzlyn? Cos she's fuzzy but Ogy Fuzzy sounds dumb and i liked the sound of Lyn so.. Ogy Fuzzlyn it is. I've only had her a week but i'm already firmly in love with her. Did you know that rabbits yawn? It's adorable cos the mouth is so small even stretched open and u can see the four front bunny teeth. But i think my Ogy is insomniac.. i've never seen her sleep more than five minutes, then she jumps up and cleans her fur or pushes out her nose to be petted or checks out if i've put a new treat in her bowl.. when she's being stroked, she'll half close her eyes in pleasure and make churning sounds with her teeth, like the bunny version of purring.. we rub noses to greet every morning and night and she gets a midnight snack and pet before i sleep..
but my mum's not half pleased and keeps ragging me to return her. but i'll never do it. Strangely, my mum also cleans the area around her cage and keeps shifting it into new positions, on makeshift benches and sheltered with plastic, and she scolded me when i came back just now cos she said i shifted the plastic n bunny got damp. (i didn't, the cheeky girl musta tugged it askew). And seeing ogy's ears one up one down, she asked if her ear is broken. Erm, no, it's cos she's a cross lop ear.. only one ear lops.. =p
well. i just hope she'll be with me for a long time yet. i think she's the best pet i've ever had. (i mean really had, not just fed downstairs.) romeo n juliet the mice come a close second but small animals have such short lives..
ok. instead of getting sleepy, i now feel insomniac.
damn. my first day at work tomorrow and i'm in danger of nodding off before lunch.
ciao.
